Order Confirmation
You will receive two emails after you place your order and provide us with a valid email address:
- The first confirms that your order was received; this email will arrive within about 24 hours.
- The second confirms that your order was shipped from our warehouse. You can also check the current status of your order online, via telephone, or email. See the Check Order status section above.
Order Tracking
You can check the status of your Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop orders by logging into your account. If you placed your order as a guest, you can use our Track as a Guest Feature. If you have an outstanding order, you will see its details. If you have more than outstanding order, you will go to your Order History page, where you will see orders from the past six months. From there, you can click on a specific order to see its details.
On the Order Details page, you will see all items in the order, the shipping address, shipping method, payment details and any return or exchange information. On the Shipment Summary, you will also see the current status and details from the shipping carrier's tracking service for each package.
Occasionally, we may send an order in multiple packages. In such cases, we will provide individual tracking information for all packages, as well as details on the items in each package.
Change in Your Order Status
Occasionally, high demand causes us to run out of certain items. If we don't have an item that you have ordered in stock, we will notify you by email immediately.
Sometimes, an item is out of stock and is not expected to come back in stock, so we must cancel the order. In this case, if you paid with a credit card, we will not charge you for the item or any taxes, shipping or handling charges.

When you register and create your account with www.ChildrensGiftShop.org, we will remember your information so that the checkout process is a breeze in the future. You also will be able to store your address information and check order history too.
Can I place an order without registering?
Yes, you can. You can also check your order status via a customer service agent (telephone or email) or online, without registering. Registering will give you access to more detailed information about your order.
What will you do with my information after I register?
Your privacy is very important to us. Personal information is stored securely and can only be accessed when a user provides the correct user name and password. After providing your password, you can edit or delete information from your profile at any time. This can be done through the My Account Link. For more information on our privacy policy, click here.
What if I forget my password?
We can give you a hint. If you still cannot remember, we can reset your password and e-mail a temporary one to the e-mail address you provided during registration. We do not give out passwords over the phone or e-mail them to a different e-mail address than the one used to register.
When I enter my name during registration, is it secure?
We use the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol to protect the security of your personal information. SSL technology encrypts your information to protect it from being accessed by anyone other than Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop. For more information on SSL click here.
When I register, will I be receiving Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop catalogs or email promotions?
Yes. When you register or place an order with us, you are automatically added to our mailing list. You can be removed from this list by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link on the email promotion or by calling 1-202-476-4012.

Cookies
Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop uses "cookies" on some Web pages. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on an End User's hard drive but does not itself contain any personal information. The information we gather from subscribers to our e-mail newsletters (including e-mail addresses) is not shared with other organizations or third-parties. From time to time we may send out e-mails on behalf of these like-minded organizations, but we do not provide them with access to any personal information that you have provided. To provide you with better and more relevant information, we compile information about e-mail response and website usage. This information helps us to better understand our customer’s site usage patterns and what types of content and information may help improve your user experience on the Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop web site. All e-mails sent contain a link to unsubscribe or to modify your profile. You may subscribe or unsubscribe to any newsletter or e-mail communication from Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop at any time.
How we track HTML newsletters
We make use of both "open-tracking" and "click-tracking" in our HTML newsletters (i.e. e-mails that contain text and images). Open-tracking allows us to find out how many people have viewed our e-mail newsletters or Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop promotions. Click-tracking allows us to find out which links were clicked on. This helps us to refine and improve the editorial content of our newsletters, and to provide you with more-relevant information. "HTML-sensing" is used to determine if your e-mail client supports HTML-based e-mails, which usually contain pictures and other graphics. This is employed only if you request our system to detect whether you can receive HTML e-mails.
How we protect your information
Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop is extremely protective of the information gathered through its membership and website. Our web site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of the information under our control. Our web server is located in a locked, secure environment. All databases containing personal information are securely stored on a separate system that is not connected to the Internet.
When you make a purchase at Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop, we use a secure server and encryption to protect your financial and other personal information during transmission.

We do not charge your credit card until the date we ship your merchandise. Orders are subject to verification and acceptance before shipping. We are not responsible for typographical errors.
MULTIPLE SHIPMENTS
If your order is sent in multiple shipments (either to the same destination or to different destinations), your credit card will be charged separately for each shipment.

SHIPPING & HANDLING (Top of Page)
Most purchases are shipped directly from Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop by UPS, USPS, or by Dr. Bear’s In-Hospital Courier. Please note that we cannot ship to PO Box addresses. We cannot ship Express Delivery to U.S. territories, Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO or PO Box addresses. Please call Customer Service at 202-476-4012 for shipping rates outside of the contiguous 48 states.
In-Hospital Delivery (Same Day*)
*For in-hospital delivery, orders placed during normal business hours will be delivered the same day. If placed after business hours, the order will be delivered the next day.
Standard Shipping Rates (5-7 business days)
Ground shipping via UPS or USPS can be calculated via a real-time shipping estimator prior to check out in the cart.
Express Delivery
We are able to expedite orders for an additional charge, please call 202-476-4012.

For express delivery, orders must be received Monday through Friday by 11 am ET.
We do not offer overnight delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, or to PO boxes. For shipments to Guam, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Alaska, Hawaii, or APO addresses, our standard shipping method is First Class mail through the United States Postal Service.
Shipping Address Options
Packages can be sent to the same address as your billing address or to another address, including a Hospital Room. Shipping addresses can be selected on the "shipping information" section during checkout. If you've registered with us, you can select an address from your account. Just sign in to your account before proceeding to checkout
RETURNS & EXCHANGES (Top of Page)
In-store Purchases
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop, you may return item(s) for a full refund or exchange for other item(s). Unwashed, unworn, and undamaged items with tags still attached can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the original purchase date.
Proof of purchase, such as a copy of the original sales receipt, is required for reimbursement of the full purchase price. Refunds will be given in the same manner as the original transaction. When no proof of purchase is available, we refund items at the current selling price in the form of a store credit.
Online/Phone Order Purchases
To return item(s), please contact our customer service department. We will send a return form to be filled out. For returns, only the return portion of the form needs to be completed. Items can be returned/exchanged unwashed, unworn, and undamaged, with tags still attached, within 30 days of original purchase date. Proof of purchase, such as a copy of the packing slip invoice, is required for all returns. If you cannot find your packing slip invoice, please call the Dr. Bear’s Gift Shop at 202-476-4012. Credits and charges will be issued in the same manner as the original transaction. Please allow seven to fourteen (7-14) business days for your returns and exchanges to be processed.

Shipping Charges
Shipping charges for returns and exchanges, as well as initial shipping fees, are not refundable. For your convenience, the cost of shipping returns will be deducted from your refund amount.
Shipping charges are refunded only if:
- the carrier loses the package
- an item was shipped damaged or defective
- an item was damaged during shipping
- we ship an incorrect item
If the return is a result of our error, you will not be charged for return shipping. Call 202-476-4012 and a UPS call tag can either be mailed to your address or sent via e-mail, or we can schedule a pickup directly from your address by a UPS carrier.
Exchanges
Items can be exchanged unwashed, unworn, and undamaged within 60 days of the original purchase date. Exchanges are subject to our regular shipping and handling fees. If you are exchanging your items for something else, we will apply your credit towards the new item at its current price.
Coupon Codes
If you are making an exchange and used a coupon code to make your purchase, we will exchange the item for the same style in a different size or color. If you are exchanging your purchase for something else, we will apply your credit towards the new item at their current price. A previously used coupon code cannot be applied to the sale of a different item.

We ship orders to the United States and its territories (including Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and APO/FPO addresses) and Canada. All orders are billed in U.S. dollars.
